It takes a village to raise a child, but most of us are missing that village. A Village is a website for families that fills in the occasional gaps in our busy, sometimes isolated nuclear family setup. Geootargeting identifies other families (and ages of children) in your area. It’s hard enough to check Facebook with children climbing on your face, so event calendars send reminders for library storytime and other kid friendly events to your phone. Family friendly businesses offer specials for checking in and family happy hours.
I’ve seen a lot of Tinder-type apps meant to play matchmaker to help moms find mom friends, but as a mom – and it sounds harsh – but I thought it might feel kind of pathetic to use one.
This app might help play mom matchmaker, but it’s not quite so direct and awkward.
We need this app. Someone make this app!
